Dogs on the brain.

Tonight Luke was helping Jordan say his prayers and Luke whispered to him "please bless daddy's job" and Jordan said "please bless daddy to get me a dog".

The other day Jordan decided he wanted a pet mouse. I told him he would NEVER have a pet mouse as long as he lived in my house. A few minutes later he came back and said he changed his mind and he wants a dog again.

Jordan crawled in bed with us early this morning. When we finally woke up he told me with a HUGE smile on his face that he dreamt that we got him a dog.

For months we've told him we can't get a dog because we don't have a yard with a fence. Up until recently that worked. Then he realized the other day that our neighbors have a dog and they don't have a fence. Busted.

Hurry up and get the boy a dog, so you don't still have it long after he's left home...if you know what I mean.

love it! he is so cute!!! that's the excuse we use for our kids. well it's more of the one like, "we don't have our own house yet. we rent this house and they won't let us have a dog." all of which is 100% true. i just don't know what i'm going to say when we hopefully, one day, own a home!

Oh man, I am already dreading the boy and his dog phase seeing as how Bannock is obsessed with my parent's dog every time we see her... let me know what works! I'm sooooo not a dog person and can't let myself get talked into this one!

That poor little guy is looking for a friend, I say give in and get him a tiny breed. Then again, you do have to wonder if J will love it and then ignore it as the excitement wears off, that's not good. You got a dilemma my friend!

Is there a local dog shelter that you can go volunteer as a family? I think it will serve two purposes- 1. Let him play with dogs 2. Let him learn what it's like to pick up dog poop . . . it might just change his mind . . .

Hilarious! I just tell my kids I'm allergic. Seems to work okay and they only ask me like 2 times a week now.
