The Details

Last weekend Lisa and Lucy (Luke's sister and mom) came to visit! Back when we were engaged and Luke was living here selling pest control, he told me about these chairs where you sit far apart and because of the acoustics you can still hear each other. Well after quite a few Internet searches I finally found them. So Monday we headed to NCState to check them out.

They do work but it wasn't as cool as I was hoping. I was thinking more egg-like like Mork and Mindy. Oh well.

Tuesday we decided to take a last minute road trip to Southern Virginia. Lisa is friends with a guy at SVU and I've always wanted to see the campus--all two buildings. Lol, okay all THREE buildings. So a road trip was in order. The drive up was so pretty--rolling hills, green pastures, cows, and mountains in the distance. This is the view from our hotel room in Lexington, Virginia.

SVU home of the Knights.

Fun in the hotel pool!

Ahhh sleeping in!

Lunch at the Pink Cadillac Diner.

Then we flew to England to see Stonehenge.

Okay, actually it was just Foamhenge a replica of Stonehenge made entirely out of styrofoam.

Toured the Natural Bridge--one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Amazing!

Hiked to Lace Falls.

Begged Lucy to stay a few more days and went to Masanutten Indoor Water Park.

Cheered Wesley on in two double header softball games to see his undefeated team win the intramural co-ed softball championship.

Walked around the Spring Premiere at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington.

Watched Wesley play basketball--he plays for SVU.

But the best part (okay, maybe second best, that waterpark was really fun) was coming home to Luke!
Thanks for the fun Lisa and Lucy--can't wait for our next adventure!
