I'm a Domestic Goddess

At least that is what I think every time I take a bite of this bread. It is so good!

I saw this recipe for whole wheat bread and had to try it. It turned out so good--I shocked even myself. I love that it uses honey as a sweetener and just a pinch of sugar--so much better than the store bought stuff. My grocery bill just went down $3.69 a week--yay!

In other news, Jordan has decided being a big boy is overrated and has reverted back to being a baby...

I have been looking for an easy bread recipe that didn't make a zillion loafs. I am so excited to try it. Did you use all whole wheat, or did you mix white and whole? Also, do you think that this would work with wheat that you grind? Let me know what you think, marceerynearson@yahoo.com.

Also, looks like you guys have been supper busy, moving again! Thats great, hope it all work out.

Isn't it awesome having a recipe or two that makes you feel like you're the next Martha without really having to try? It makes me soooo happy.

Yeah for you! I'm so glad you loved this, and even though it's not "my" recipe, I feel honored to have shared it. I'm not trying to push, but if you think $3.69 is exciting, you can imagine what has happened to me as I've shaved all the processed food out of our shopping. Hundreds of dollars. Truly. Sort of unbelievable and a little disgusting.

The bread looks tasty! Have you checked out "Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day"? I've been making bread from that book for a while and really like it. Our most recent favorite is the oatmeal bread. It's nice not to have to buy it at the store anymore! And there must be something about the infant carseat because Kate is obsessed with ours as well. Not sure how she is going to feel when the baby comes and has to actually use it!

Your incredible for making your own bread! I'll have to try that someday. Too bad for Jordan's finger. Tessa and Anna loved swimming with him, too.
