Future Scientist?

Jordan loves science. He is always asking to do experiments. He has science class once a week and it's definitely his favorite part of preschool--even more than playground! He also loves to watch The Kratt Brothers and Cyberchase on PBS Kids. I'm constantly amazed at the things he is learning. The other night he was mixing up cornbread muffins for dinner and Luke grabbed a flash light and showed him how to make eggs glow. He also showed him how you can see through your hands. Pretty cool stuff.

A few weeks ago Jordan had seen a clip on Cyberchase about how to make rock candy crystals at home. That's all he talked about the rest of the night and first thing when he woke up the next morning. So of course we had to try it. I watched the Cyberchase clip and googled instructions. Every tutorial I found said the crystals would grow in about a week. Two weeks later and we still didn't have crystals. Were now about 6 weeks into this and finally getting some crystals but NOTHING like the tutorials and Cyberchase video showed. Luke says it has to do with how humid it is here. Oh well, it's still fun.

Love these pictures, his face is so intense. I hope he doesn't turn into the mad scientist. Granny s
