Harry Chrisgiving

We had such a great holiday in Chicago. All of Luke's family came to town and we were able to celebrate both Thanksgiving and Christmas together. The day before Thanksgiving we went downtown to see the light's turn on on the "big" tree.

waiting for the train

Well this year the city/mayor decided to cut costs and the tree looked much like the sad Charlie Brown Christmas tree. It was still fun to go downtown though and spend time together.

We also went over to Macy's where Jordan wrote his wish list to Santa.

We celebrated Thanksgiving at Luke's aunt and uncles. The food was DELICIOUS and we stuffed ourselves. I must have been too busy eating to take pictures...

Friday we did a little shopping and then celebrated Christmas. Jordan LOVED opening presents.

Saturday was the gingerbread build off. This year we split into teams of two and took gingerbread house building up a notch.

Luke and his dad built the Chicago Temple... (or is it the DC temple?)

Lisa and I built the Eiffel Tower...

Kari and Isaac built the Burg Al Arab

And Jordan and Grandma built Grandma's house...

Complete with Jordan jumping on the trampoline out back...

See the resemblance?

We also had fun playing with Cousin Carter.

Luke installed a solar attic fan, tube light, and radiant barrier in his parent's attic.

And Jordan and I tested out my new yoga mat.

Funny Story: Luke's dad is a pilot for American Airlines and had to fly to Miami and back on Friday and then again on Saturday. Friday afternoon when he got back Jordan ran up to see him and Randy was decked out in his pilot's uniform. Jordan looked up at Randy wide eyed and said, "Grandpa, are you a police officer?!" It was so cute. Saturday, Randy brought back Jordan his very own wings!
