Gma and Gpa Spencer are in town for the weekend so after church we decided to take a Sunday drive to Mount Pilot and Mayberry (Mount Airy). It's about a 2hr drive from Raleigh and the fall colors were gorgeous.
Did I mention Luke hates car trips? Not as in "sick to my stomach" but as in "this is a total waste of my time". :)

After Mount Pilot we drove to Mount Airy which is THE Mayberry as in Andy Griffeth Mayberry. We stopped for ice cream sundaes and onion rings at this cute little diner on Main Street.

aw poor luke. he had to endure a car trip. you guys look great and i wish i could've been on that drive. i would've loved to have taken advantage of a few hours of alicia time! tell luke that! and tell him it's time you guys came for a visit! i haven't had any luke AND alicia time in years!

Fun outing! Car trips are my kind of trip. It's relaxing down time. The fall colors are amazing!
