I realized the other day that school starts up again in just a few weeks and if Jordan is going to go to preschool this year then we need to get him potty trained. So today was the official first day of potty training (take tw0). The day started out rough with two accidents but has been going better since. I realized with Jordan that he does not care what superhero is on his undies or if being potty trained means he can go to preschool and play with toys and friends. (He also doesn't care if he is wet or stinky--yuck!) What he does care about is treats and cartoons. I started out the day by telling him he could have one skittle or m&m for trying and he could have a watermelon or starburst for actually going. That was exciting...but not enough.
So after he started begging to watch a cartoon on the computer it clicked. Now everytime he goes on the potty he gets to watch a cartoon. So far we have had lots of success. Let's hope it works and there is no Potty Training (take three) in our future.
