Seattle in the Spring

Last week Jordan and I flew to Seattle. My sister was going to be in town for a few days so we planned our trip accordingly. Luckily the Easter Bunny knew just where to find us...

Jordan, Alicia, Stephanie, Papa John, & Honey--sporting the Easter egg necklace we made her--we're crafty like that ;)

One of the days we were there we went up to see the Skagit Valley Tulips. Unfortunately we were about two weeks early and only the daffodil fields were blooming. We did walk around Roozengaard Gardens and saw many of the different tulip and daffodil varieties.

Then we headed down to Arlington to a Kangaroo Farm. We got to feed and pet kangaroos, goats, chickens, ducks, and llamas. They also had lemurs, emus, a mini horse, wallabies, wallaroos, peacocks, geese, and more! So much fun and I highly recommend it!

This was pretty much Jordan's reaction to all the animals. He liked seeing them but did NOT want to touch them. He was totally content to throw them their food from a distance.

We love going to my grandparent's house and spending time with them. My grandpa keeps cookies in a cookie jar and Jordan LOVES the "cheese" cookies (it's actually vanilla frosting).

And I was able to give my grandma a little project I'd been working on for her. I quilted it on my mom's sewing machine and decided that my mom definitely needs a new sewing machine...so I can have her 'old' one. ;)

We had such a great time and can't wait to go back!

Love the photos. So good to see your parents and Steph. They look the same! And Honey!
The animals look like a blast, but I would probably have the same response as Jordan.

What a fun trip! I love the Llama pictures. You are so talented at taking pictures! I'm glad that we might see you in California some time!

Isaac thinks that Jordan won't touch the animals because of lingering fears we created in him as a baby with those singing stuffed animals . . . I guess Luke and Grandma S (and probably Lisa) should contribute to the therapy pot.

What amazing pictures! You are so talented.

So, I have been digital scrapbooking for a few years and I feel like I am in a rut and need some new ideas. I really like your style of scrapbooking and I was wondering how you create the bold white framed collages for your scrapbook pages. I have Elements 4.0 and I can't figure out an easy way to do it. Do you have any tips? Thanks!
