A Project Amidst the Packing

(the runner's not that wonky, it just wouldn't hang on the chair right)

All week long when I should have been packing, I was cutting and sewing. I saw this table runner a few months ago and fell in love with it. Then Sew Mama Sew showcased it during Fat Quarter February and last Sunday I had to pull out all my scraps and make one. Of course I had to have two throw pillows to go with it...

I also followed a couple tutorials and learned new things along the way...

Wonky Log Cabin Blocks

and

Fabric Flowers
and I finally stippled on a project that I actually like. The stippling is NOT perfect but the fabric is so busy you can't really tell.I love I that I only bought two fat quarters and the rest were scraps I already had on hand.

Wow, these are so cute. I love the fabric and I am impressed by your quilting skills! Do you just use your regular sewing machine to stiple?

Oh my gosh! Those are amazing! They are SO cute. You're so creative! And all while you're moving? wow. You have to fill us in on how you're liking NC once you're there! Good luck with the move and such!

I always love your color combos: they look so fresh. And I'm impressed you tried stippling! I haven't dared to do it yet, and I'm thinking that day may never come. These turned out super cute.

What! I love the fabric flowers. So cool. Man, someday I will turn into a supermom like you. I'm afraid I won't sew though. Never caught on, in Home Economics.

Wow!!! These are incredibly beautiful! You are amazing...you have so much talent! I also love all the scrapbook pages, too bad it didn't turn out the best quality printed out, but I'm sure it looks fabulous.

yeeesh! i love these! though I have to say, I get all nervous and panicky when you use words like wonky and stippling. i don't know what they mean. i feel so inferior. I want to learn to sew, i do really, but this just is so overwhelmingly cute to me I think I may just leave all the sewing to you.
