Getting Ahead of the Holidays

I had so much fun making our birthday banner that when I saw a cute Halloween banner in Women's Day magazine I was dying to make one too. Joann's was having their coupon commotion a few weeks ago so I bought all the stuff to make the banner and after using all the coupons it was under $15 to make!

I had a hard time narrowing down my fabric selection so the banner turned out a little long--oh well!

I also recently finished the top of a Christmas quilt I've been working on. I used Thimble Blossoms (of course!) Peppermint Posies pattern and so far I love the way it's turned out.

Also, I keep going back and looking at this cute Harvest blocks kit from Wonderfully Wordy. I'm thinking I should order a set. (Too bad I don't live in UT, I would love to go to her party!)

So super cute! Looks like I will have to get that pattern - how adorable! You are very talented and I am impressed at your jump start of the holidays! Hope it can rub off some on me! :) (Wishful thinking!)

Cute stuff! That quilt is gorgeous. I might just have to get into quilting. Do you stiple (is that the right word?) your own quilts? That part always seemed like it would be hard.

Ah, you SHOULD do it! Get them! The blocks and the vinyl at least. It would only be $14 (plus shipping) and you could even pick or use your own scrap book paper, and embellishments. They are SO cute, and even better looking in person. I mean... I'm just saying...

Totally unrelated to your blog post, but can Jordan come over and play? I will watch him while you go shopping and go to the spa and just relax and eat cupcakes made at Sugar Sweet Sunshine.

To piggy back off of WhoKnew- We could split baby duties with Stephanie. If nothing else it would cut down on my minutes used to listen to Luke and his 5 minute long voice mails trying to get Jordan to talk!
