Another FIRST

Jordan got his first fat lip today. We went to the playground (a different one than the slide incident--I know, we should probably avoid playgrounds from now on) this afternoon and Jordan was running to the other side of the playground tripped, fell right on his mouth, and split his lip. Blood was gushing EVERYWHERE. He quickly bled through the used kleenex I had in my pocket and all over my white hoodie. Of course the public bathrooms were locked so I ended up taking off my sweatshirt and wiping away all the blood and tears and snot with it. By the time we got back to the car the bleeding had slowed and I was able to give him a baby-wipe wipe down. His poor little lip was so puffy and swollen.

On the way home we stopped at the grocery store to get a few essentials and some popsicles. The checkout lady started to say hello to Jordan and looked up and saw his fat lip, tear stained face, and hemangiomas and cut her hello mid-word. She probably thinks I beat him.
