Help! I am in serious need of a new workout mix. I realized today while I was running that I skip a lot of the songs on my current workout playlist. They're really good songs but I'm kind of tired of hearing them over and over. So I was hoping some of you might comment with some good songs. I like stuff that has a good beat (kind of fast), can be new or old. Help me please!

You and me BOTH!! I was just about to blog that this evening :-) I went on a long run today and went through the same songs over and over on my ipod and was ready to scream. i googled workout songs and it just gave me a bunch of those hip-hoppish songs that i don't like to listen to.
I do like
Cyndi LAuper's girls just wanna have fun
Billy Joel's We didn't start the fire and piano man
and i can't think of any more. What about you? What do you like?
of course i have load of advice on this one... i just made a new workout mix that i love! but i couldn't agree more that songs get old pretty fast when you're running often. so here is my list of 20 that i am recently listening to on my morning runs....
Complicated- Avril Lavigne
Over It- Katharine McPhee (worth downloading- this is by far my fave right now)
Life Is a Highway- Rascall Flatts
Breakaway- Clarkson
Since U Been Gone- Clarkson
Behind These Hazel Eyes- Clarkson
Walk Away- Clarkson
Wasted- Carrie Underwood
Lessons Learned- Carrie Underwood
Don't Lie- Black Eyed Peas
All The Small Things- Blink 182
Time- Chantal Kreviazuk
Ants Marching- Dave Matthews
These Words- Natasha Bedingfield
Joyride- Roxette (another fave)
American Girl- Tom Petty
Unwritten- Natasha Bedingfield
White Houses- Vanessa Carlton
Celia- Simon and Garfunkel
Big Girls Don't Cry- Fergie (another fave although it's not super fast til the chorus)
So there is my input. They're all pretty upbeat and keep me going strong (sometimes). I miss you and good luck with your mix. PS. Try interval running- jog 2 minutes, run 1 minute, sprint 30 second (do over and over- 10 times if you can)- it's a GREAT workout and good way to increase mileage and speed overall and helps with boredom).
work out? What's that, I don't understand.
