What's for dinner?

Tonight we are having my mom's spaghetti--mmmmm! Now this isn't just any spaghetti it is MY MOM's spaghetti. My sister and I joke that the sauce is a meal in and of itself. I remember calling home from college and hearing that my mom had made spaghetti and getting so homesick. I always thought it had to be so hard to make so I never tried it. Then a few months ago I did and I was surprised how easy it was. So I pass along the bestest spaghetti sauce recipe you will ever eat (or at least I think so).

Spaghetti Sauce
1-2 T. olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 lb. ground beef
2 8oz cans tomato sauce
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 1/2 cups water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 T. dried parsley
1/4 tsp. oregano
dash allspice
splash Worcestershire sauce

Saute onion and garlic in olive oil. Brown ground beef. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, salt, pepper, parsley, oregano, allspice and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 45 minutes over low heat. Stir occasionally.

Enjoy!

Wow, that does sound good, I'm always looking for new recipes to try. Don't you feel like you get in a rut sometimes making the same 7 or 8 dinners every week. Thanks for the idea, and I hope that everything is going well. By the way the house looks great! We just sold ours, and well, it was a lifetime experience in itself. Im sure you wont have any problems!

Alicia...I'm totally one of your lurkers, too. In fact, I wrote down this recipe last week and have it sitting in my cupboard. I can't wait to try it! YUM!
